Annette Focks wins the Hans Vogt Film Award

Annette Focks was honoured with the Hans Vogt Film Award 2024 at the Hof International Film Festival – in recognition of her outstanding achievements in film music.
Her works have shaped the German and international film scene for years.

Lower Saxony-born composer Annette Focks impresses with her musical versatility, which ranges from classical orchestrations to modern electronics and has earned her numerous awards – including a Lola for ‘Wunderschön “ and the prize for best film music from the Teatro Politeama di Catanzaro for ”Poll’. Her well-known film scores include works such as ‘Vier Minuten’, ‘John Rabe “ and ”Ostwind’. She has also worked repeatedly with director Bille August, including on ‘Night Train to Lisbon’.
