7TH SCHEDLER MUSIC SUMMIT IN INNSBRUCK

The “Schedler Music Summit” has now taken place for the seventh time. A novelty was the location. For the first time this event did not take place in Steeg in the Tyrolean Lechtal, the home town of Schedler Music, but in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The Schedler team chose the rooftop location in the aDLERS Hotel as the venue for the Summit. More than 200 industry professionals accepted the invitation, which meant an increase compared to the previous year.

High above the rooftops of Innsbruck, Schedler Music briefly introduced his publishing house and his team and then gave an insight into the very important live controlling area for Schedler Music and its authors/partners with a short presentation. This was followed by a video review of the past year, where the greatest successes from the pop, schlager and film/sync gerres were shown.

Schedler Music then honoured its most successful authors for the first time in 2018 with a specially created “Songwriter of the Year” award. The award winners were determined based on physical sales, radio singles, downloads and streams. The awards went to the winners: Oliver Lukas (“#1 Songwriter of the Year“), Sasa Lendero & Miha Hercog (“#2 Songwriter of the Year“) and Oli Nova (“#3 Songwriter of the Year“).

The first part of the program ended with the song presentation of the songs created in the camp before. Like the last 6 years, Schedler Music organized a Writing Camp just before the Summit, which started on Saturday and ran until the Summit day. Due to the new summit location, the camp was also relocated to Innsbruck and Mils, which meant that not as many teams as the years before were able to participate.

The second part of the Summit evening belonged to four bands/acts. First on stage was the Berlin duo PAT & BELL, a folk pop act with German songs. Then the Austrian guys from ZWEIKANALTON, who delivered an Ö3 radio hit in 2018, presented their new single “Domino”. The singer/songwriter JOSH also performed accompanied by his guitarist and played his official Oktoberfest hit 2018 “Cordula Grün”. The musical evening was rounded off with the German band REBEL TELL, who are committed to “SchlagerBilly” – a mixture of Schlager & Rockabilly.

Rudi Schedler (MD Schedler Music):

Our 7th Summit was again a complete success. The change of location was absolutely right, although we were very lucky last year. We would like to thank all participants from Vienna to Berlin and Zurich, especially the 3 top songwriters/producers from Nashville. We are very proud of our authors and our contractual partners and always try to give our best for them“.
